We go over each moon in Lethal Company and how to handle them.

Lethal Company launched in Early Access, which means there could be numerous beta versions in the future as Zeekerss continues to develop the title. Thankfully, you can access the general beta channel without the need for a password or special code.

Lethal Company is still in Early Access on Steam, which means that content may be subject to change, including beta access. If that happens, we will update this guide with the corrected information.

How To Enable The Lethal Company Beta

Lethal Company beta access instructions

You can access the ‘public_beta’ branch of Lethal Company quickly since you won’t need a password. Instead, you just change the menu to that version and wait for the new changes to be installed.

For a simple step-by-step on how to enable the Lethal Company beta, try these:

  1. Right-click Lethal Company in your Steam library.
  2. Select ‘Properties’ from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click the ‘Beta’ tab on the left sidebar.
  4. Click the menu next to ‘Beta Participation.’
  5. Select ‘public_beta – For testing new versions’ and wait for it to install.

Depending on the features added in the beta and when you enable it, this installation could take anywhere from a few seconds to minutes.

Once it’s finished, you can launch the game and see the version number in the bottom left of Lethal Company’s main menu screen. If the number has increased, you’ve successfully installed the new beta. If the number goes down, you likely selected the wrong option.

When Is Lethal Company’s Next Beta?

Zeekerss hasn’t posted much about Lethal Company outside of teases and official releases of new game versions, so it’s hard to predict when new versions of the game could go live. The developer has a Patreon for behind-the-scenes content where fans can see new updates about the game.

The best way to know if a new beta has been pushed is likely to either check your Steam downloads to see if any new content has been installed or through Lethal Company’s main menu, where the version number can be seen.
