by in Lost Ark is turning 2, so it’s almost time for the ‘2 Extreme’ update, featuring the Valtan Extreme raid, and a series of second anniversary celebration events.
The update will be out on February 7th, and the Lost Ark team revealed the date and the first details on what we’ll see when it arrives. Valtan Extreme is, of course, the highlight for those seeking bigger challenges and some unique rewards. There will be two versions–Normal, starting at 1580 item level–and Hard, requiring 1620. Take on the challenge for special first-time clear rewards when you clear two Gates. You’ll get more, different rewards for subsequent clears. You’ll be able to enter your roster once every two weeks, and progress on the gates will be tied to the character that cleared the first gate, so consider your strategies carefully.
Also coming is the second anniversary to mark Lost Ark’s debut in the West. There is an overall anniversary celebration, the Arkesia Festival, along with a series of mini events and new content added during the festivities. Each week, there will be a new co-op event quest added, with tokens for completion that you can trade for loot. The Birthday Bash event will take you through memories of your Arkesian adventures, letting you re-experience some of the most memorable Lost Ark content and earning rewards.
The community participated in a recent call for fanart to celebrate the anniversary, and the art contest yielded several winners that will have their art added as loading screens during the second anniversary event. The current header image on this article is one of the winners, from user Analiciá.
