Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and its players have been having a bit of a rough week. The game went live in early access for players who ponied up $100 for the Deluxe Edition of the game, but was quickly taken offline soon thereafter as players experienced a serious bug that resulted in the auto-completion of the game.

A few hours later, Rocksteady announced they had discovered a resolution to the issue but the servers would remain offline while they tested the update. The entire ordeal consumed a significant portion of the early access time players paid extra for, so it left us wondering what, if anything, Rocksteady would do to compensate players.

We’ve now learned that Rocksteady has issued $20 of in-game currency to all early access players as a mea culpa for the issues.

That’s all well and great but this issue puts the game’s lack of offline mode even more into focus. The only information we know so far is that offline mode is coming in a post-launch update, but given the recent news we can only hope it arrives sooner rather than later.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League officially goes live on February 2.
