RPG Stellar Blade Gets A New Trailer And Release Date As Part Of Sony's State Of Play

During Sony’s State of Play today, we got a peek at the upcoming RPG Stellar Blade, and with it comes a final release date for the title. 

Previously known as Project Eve, Stellar Blade has been a long-awaited PlayStation exclusive that has been in development for years now. The new trailer showcased stunning graphics and intense battles, but the most important part was the release date of April 26, 2024 announcement.

The title was announced back in 2019, and went through a name change in 2022. From there, development continued with an initial launch date projected for 2023, but we know that never came to fruition. The developers at Shift Up are no strangers to game development – one of the studio founders, Kim Hung Tae, is known for his work on MMOs such as Blade and Soul in the past –   but Stellar Blade is the first AAA title to come from the Korean company thus far. 

When it comes to the story elements within the game, it takes place in the distant future on planet Earth which has basically taken human life off of the planet entirely. Though we got to see a lot of awesome things within the trailer, there is plenty of room to ponder what is to come from the launch of the title later on this year.
